Hex Lag Screws

Hex lag screws—often called lag bolts—are heavy-duty wood fasteners built for structural holding power. Their coarse, deep threads bite aggressively into lumber to create a stronger connection than standard wood screws, making them a go-to for framing, posts, beams, and exterior builds. A hex head lets you drive them quickly with a wrench or socket, while the gimlet point helps start cleanly in wood (pilot holes are still recommended on larger diameters to prevent splitting).

Choose the finish that matches your environment:

• Zinc plated for general indoor or low-corrosion use
• ​Hot-dip galvanized (HDG) for outdoor, treated lumber, or moisture-prone jobs
• Stainless steel for coastal, chemical, or long-life corrosion resistance
