Hose clamps are used to secure hose and tubing to barbed fittings, pipe connections, and adapters in plumbing, hydraulic, pneumatic, and fluid handling systems. American Bolt Corporation supplies hose clamps for mechanical, industrial, and maintenance applications where adjustable hose retention is required.

Hose clamps are commonly paired with hose barbs, push-on barb fittings, and tubing to help reduce leaks and hose pull-off during operation.

What Are Hose Clamps?

A hose clamp is a mechanical device that tightens around the outside of a hose to hold it firmly against a fitting or connection point. By applying pressure around the hose, clamps help maintain a sealed connection under pressure, vibration, or temperature changes.

Hose clamps are often used where:

  • Flexible hose connects to rigid fittings
  • Connections may need adjustment or replacement
  • Vibration or movement is present
  • Multiple hose sizes must be accommodated

They allow hose connections to be installed, adjusted, and serviced without special tools.

Hose Clamp Types & Options

American Bolt Corp supplies the following hose clamp styles commonly used in plumbing, pneumatic, and fluid handling applications:

Worm Gear Clamps

Worm gear clamps use a screw mechanism to tighten a slotted band around the hose. They are adjustable, reusable, and commonly used across a wide range of hose sizes and general-purpose applications.

Ear Clamps

Ear clamps are crimp-style clamps that are compressed during installation to create a fixed connection. They are often used where a low-profile, tamper-resistant clamp is preferred.

Mounting Clamps

Mounting clamps are used to support and route hose or tubing along equipment, walls, or frames. These clamps help manage hose layout and reduce movement or abrasion during operation.
