Compression Fittings
Brass compression fittings are commonly used where tubing connections need to be assembled, adjusted, or serviced without special tools or tube flaring. American Bolt Corporation supplies brass compression fittings for plumbing, pneumatic, and maintenance applications where access, repeatability, and clean tube connections are important.
How Brass Compression Fittings Work
Compression fittings secure tubing by tightening a nut over a compression sleeve (ferrule). As the nut is tightened, the sleeve presses against the tubing and fitting body, holding the tube in place and sealing the connection.
This connection style allows:
- Installation without flaring or welding
- Adjustment after initial assembly
- Disassembly for service or replacement
- Use in tight or confined spaces
